My sweet boy,
Today is your 4th Birthday, it doesn’t seem possible that your 4 now. People always told me when I was pregnant and you were a baby that you would grow up fast but I didn’t think they meant this fast. Looking back over this past year you have changed so much, Daddy and I couldn’t be more proud of you. You have completely lost your ‘baby face’ which means you just look too grown-up for my liking. Your personality has flourished, you have become amazingly caring, loving, compassionate, funny, strong-willed, independent little boy. Of course, your sassy attitude has also grown but as much as it drives me crazy sometimes I wouldn’t change you.
I think this year has been one of your biggest yet, you have reached so many milestones and achieved so much. You started nursery and have continued to learn and make us so proud. Even as a baby you have always been very friendly (we always joke we would lose you to a stranger with how friendly you are) but now you’re at nursery you have made so many, friends. Your such a social butterfly and I love it, it’s one of my favourite things about you. You have also been accepted into our first choice of school for you to start in September. You are due to become a cousin again which you are so excited about, I can’t wait to see you grow and bond with the new baby as much as you have with B. We also welcomed Mia into the family and you have become the best of friends. As much as you both bug each other, she makes you so happy.
This year hasn’t all been sunshine and roses for you or us as a family unit. We have had a lot of heartache with the loss of your siblings, but as much as you struggle to understand sometimes what happened you are always so caring and help Daddy look after me. You have always been my ray of sunshine in the darkest points, gave me a reason to wake up each day and keep smiling even when the world was crumbling around us. You always have been and always will be my greatest achievement, I am so proud and happy that I get to be your mumma.
Your favourite things haven’t really changed over this past year, you still love everything Toy Story and Dinosaurs. However, you now also love anything Marvel and are starting to love Harry Potter (which makes mumma so happy). You still love The Gruffalo, and storybook ‘Guess How Much I Love You’ and you now always tell me and Daddy that you love us to the moon and back, which just melts me every time. You have become such a lover of movies and will sit through the whole thing watching it. We still have our dance parties in the Kitchen with the Alexa blasting, our favourites include any song from the Burlesque soundtrack, Pump It Up and Candyman. I hope you never get too old to have dance parties in the kitchen with me.
Happy 4th Birthday my sweet boy,
I Love You To The Moon And Back, always and forever.
