Hello,

I know its been forever since I’ve posted anything so I decided to give you all a life update on what’s been happening here in the Bear household. Lockdown and Isolation got me in a bit of a funk and I just couldn’t find the motivation or inspiration to write anything. I’ve been missing my website and all of you so I decided to give a life update as quiet abit has happened so here we go…

Where to start, I think I will start with an update on how Mia is doing. As you may know, we welcomed our girl into our home and hearts back in March. We had a little bit of a rough start with house training and excitement but she is doing amazing. She has the odd accident still mainly in the evening (shes not a fan of going outside at night) but she has gotten good at giving her ques. She seems to calm down a huge amount to, I’m not sure if that’s because no one has left or entered the house for her to get excited about but hey we will take it.

life update

Baby Bear has been a very busy little boy. We have been baking, his been loving the garden and sunshine, he has become a pro at Lego Ninja on Daddy bears computer (I know top parenting right there haha). He has become such a sass pant with the biggest attitude which has been so testing but I wouldn’t change it. As you may already know, I decided to towards the start of lockdown getting Baby bear to sit down and learn wasn’t working and it was just distressing him so we have been going down the unschooling route. Which has been working a treat for us, I couldn’t be prouder of him and how he has coped and bloomed in all of this. We are now gearing up for his birthday in a few weeks which will be very different to what we have planned and envisioned at the beginning of the year but it will be funfilled none the less.

life update

There’s not much life update for Daddy bear really, other than he is still working from home. He has also been working very hard on different projects around the house which I’m loving. This including our new office space/workshop that is nearly built, my new oak doors have finally been hung upstairs which makes it look so much nicer up there. As well as other odd jobs he never got round to finishing because of life. I’m so proud of all the hard work he has put in to make our home perfect.

Before I share about our newest house member, I’ll give the short update on what’s been going on with me. Other than trying not to go insane, keep on top of the housework (who knew it would be so hard to keep a clean and tidy house with a toddler and pup in tow), finding time to work out and keep up with my fitness I haven’t been up to much. We had a rough month fertility wise last month. I was having pregnancy symptoms and was 4 days late on my period (I didn’t realise until day 3 as we aren’t tracking it) so we naturally got excited. The only pregnancy test we had in the house failed (the dye leaked with no control line), so we decided to get some new tests thinking it would be positive but I started my cycle before we could test. Needless to say, I really struggled last month and not being able to have my mum around just made it harder.

So now for the part, you all want to know about – who is coming to live with us? We will be opening our home up to my sister J and her boyfriend K for the summer from Friday. They have bee attending University this past year and were told last week by their uni that they had to move out of their first-year student dorm this week. So as my mum is still shielding until July time and my parents can’t offer them a room of their own they asked if they could move in with us into our spare room until they can get into their new accommodation for their next year at uni in September. We are looking forward to having my sister here and getting to know K better but I can’t lie I’m nervous about how it will go having 2 more adults in our home when it has been the 4 of us for such a long time. But be sure I will update you all.

Hope you are all keeping well and staying safe now this lockdown is slowly being lifted. I will try to get back into a regular routine for posts again.
