So if you are following me on Instagram you would have already seen that I had an interview Monday and I got a new job. At the beginning of the year, I shared that I had returned back to work after taking nearly 4 years off to raise Baby bear. However, due to Covid-19 and Baby bear starting school at the end of September I had to leave my position at the Fish and Chip shop. When I quit I honestly didn’t think I would miss having a job as much as I did. It hit me kinda hard realising I had lost the place to be me not Baby bears mum, my independence and my own income.

As I said in my last post I wanted a job for me more than the money, we are lucky enough to live a very comfortable life on Daddy bears wage. Even though it is Daddy bears wage it is our money but having my own job with an income was lovely. Daddy bear has never made me feel like it’s his money and I have to ask to spend it but I always felt slightly guilty buying myself nice things and solely relying on Daddy bear to earn the money. So having my own income and feeling like I was helping bring money in for our family was amazing so when I lost that it made me kinda sad.

I didn’t want to jump straight into looking for a new job as we didn’t know what was going on with Covid-19 and what the situation would be. I am also classed as high risk so I knew until I was given the go-ahead from my doctor I wouldn’t be able to start a new position. I had been looking at different positions that had opened up in the sector I wanted as I also knew if I waited I would completely miss out. This is due to wanting to get back into my career of working with children and intake for new staff is mainly for the beginning of a new school year. So after a few weeks of holding off, one of my local nurseries posted a job opening which fitted perfectly with everything I wanted/needed. So I applied, honestly thinking I wouldn’t hear back but after a couple of weeks, I was invited for an interview and the next day I was told I had the position.

Needless to say, I am so excited to be to starting my new job that is in my chosen field and getting back to doing something I love and am passionate about. If you want to keep update and get information as soon as it happens in our life, feel free to follow me on Instagram and Facebook.
