So as you may already know if you have seen this post or follow me on Instagram we have booked a date to finally get married. This means I have started planning a wedding… Our Wedding. How exciting, but if I’m being honest hasn’t taken much as over the last 5 years we have spoken about our wedding day, what we both want and planned little details of it. This doesn’t mean it has been any less fun though.

I love planning so I’m in my element and, to be honest, it’s lucky I am such a planner as daddy bear is the complete opposite. He is the turn-up on the day type, don’t get me wrong he has shared his ideas, wants, and desires. However, all in all, he isn’t fussed about the small details that matter to me. As you may know if you read my post announcing we had booked a date for the wedding that we had a very long conversation well a few in fact before deciding to go ahead due to COVID-19. So I knew the current situation would affect how much I could plan at the moment but I didn’t realize how little I could actually plan and do while still in Lockdown.

Even though there are things we can’t do at the moment there are things that I have been able to cross off my list. If you follow my Instagram you will know I have been working on my Bridesmaid, Maid of Honor, and Flower girl proposals. I have finally finished them and can’t wait to give them to my girls and see their reactions. This makes me a little sad as I’m so excited but at least it’s something I’ve been able to cross off my to-do list. I have also been able to create my dress hangers, pencil in a visit to my amazing aunt/dress maker in the summer (if allowed to do so) for mine and my wedding party’s first measurements and hopefully trying on styles at a wedding dress shop. We have also created our save the dates and started collecting our guest’s addresses ready to send them out in the next month or so. I have also started designing our formal invites ready to send out next year closer to the wedding, we have also picked our wedding cake flavors and a rough design.

It isn’t much I know but it is something and I know hopefully soon we can choose and book the rest of the aspects of our wedding. As I said we are having a very laid-back celebration at a family member’s home which we are very thankful for and is perfect for our vision for our big day. Of course, I will be sharing more along the way and I hope you stick with me along this journey.
