Hey Lovelies, welcome back to my weekly check-in. Firstly, I hope you all had a good Easter holiday and a fun weekend in the sun. Back to school and normal routine tomorrow which is kinda rubbish but at the same point, I’m looking forward to being back at work and normal life.
We have had a busy week with a day out, seeing friends, and a big project on the house. You may have seen over on my Instagram we went to Springfields Adventure Land Monday which if I’m being 100% honest I was a little dubious about due to it being really affordably priced. I thought it was either not going to be great or have a lot of extras that you needed to pay for to enjoy it and actually be able to do stuff. However, I was very pleasantly surprised there were no ‘extras’ and there was so much to do there. Unfortunately due to Covid, you can only book for a 2 hours session which sucks as we could have easily spent most of the day there playing.
By the time we got home our new double doors had been delivered so Daddy bear and K got to work and fit them in Monday ready to be finished Tuesday (though the inside still isn’t done in true Daddy bear fashion). I tried to contain all the dust and dirt in the living room while they were working to make an easier clean up which mostly worked. So Wednesday I got the honor of spending the day cleaning up all the brickdust and putting my living room back. I can’t complain too much as I quite enjoy cleaning.
By Thursday Baby bear was truly over the holidays and just wanted to be back to school. He has been asking to see his friends the whole holidays but Thursday he ran through every friend asking to see them. We were lucky enough that our friends M, L, and R were free so we got to pop over for a few hours for a socially distanced catch-up while the children played.
Friday we then got to spend time with L, for a few hours before me and Baby bear spent an afternoon playing and I just enjoyed having him home with me before he’s back to school next week. I enjoy just taking time out to just focus on him and soak up him before I blink and he’s even older. We also completed Baby bears 200-minute reading challenge and bingo which we were so excited about and he has been able to order 14 amazing new books to add to his collection. So a huge thank you to everyone who sponsored him.
As you know the weather was lovely this weekend so we decided to have a BBQ with L and V before the children go back to school and nursery and we have less time to see each other again. It was also the first time we got to use the seating area in the pergola properly and we got to enjoy having the double doors open. It was just what I imagined our summer would be like now just to sort the rest of the garden and it will be perfect.
Then we are at today, we spent most of the day building the step in front of the double doors. I then spent some time playing with Baby bear before dinner as once we were done dinner it was bathtime and making sure Baby bear is ready to go back to school tomorrow.
Lastly, sorry there weren’t any Wednesday posts over the holidays I decided I just wanted to take some time out and spend it with Baby bear and well just enjoy some family time. But now we are back to our normal routine the will be back to normal. So hope your little ones enjoy their first week back to school and I will see you all Wednesday x
