Hey Lovelies, welcome back to my weekly check-in, hope you all had a good week. If you follow my Facebook or Instagram you will already know I said yes to the dress. We had an amazing half-term holiday in Essex seeing our family and friends but finding my wedding dress was defiantly the highlight. So here is how our week went…

So my lovely mum joined us on Sunday for our trip to Caister Castle and pick us up from D and A’s house and bring us back to Essex with her for the week. Baby bear was so excited to see everyone. Monday we headed over to see my sister R and our nieces A and M. It was such a lovely day so we decided to take a trip to Canvey Island for a day on the beach and take our little people on the rides. We haven’t seen my sister or nieces in person in over a year so it was so good to see them and watch Baby bear play with his cousins and the bond they still had, after all, that time. On our way home we dropped Baby bear off for a sleepover at my in-laws ready for them to take him out and have some time with him Tuesday. So I got to enjoy a child-free evening with my parents before one of the best days ever, saying yes to the dress.

While at the beach Monday I decided I wanted to go and try some wedding dresses on while Baby bear was out with my In-laws on Tuesday. Thanks to my mum she made it possible by getting us an appointment at the dress shop I fell in love with online called Little White Dress. I had planned on having my aunt who is a dressmaker make my wedding dress from my mums’ wedding dress lace. We went to the dress shop with the intent of just trying some styles to get an idea of what I wanted before going to a shop with my bridesmaids and aunt in August to have a look. However, after trying on 8-9 different dresses, I was done, when the lady in the shop asked if I would try on 1 more dress. She had been listening to everything I liked and disliked on all the other dresses and thought she had 1 I would like. I must admit when she held it up I wasn’t sold but agreed I tried it on and I’m so glad I did. I won’t say too much but it is stunning and I knew it was my dress. So I said yes to the dress. I honestly couldn’t recommend Little White Dress to anyone looking for their wedding dress.

Wednesday K and I had planned a sissy day together, going to the cinema before heading into London for Japanese BBQ at Kin Tan then drinks at the Sky Bar. However, that slightly changed when our tattoo artist we had booked for August messaged us on Tuesday asking if we wanted a cancellation space she had for Wednesday. We of course took it and so Wednesday we headed over to Luna Blue tattoo studio to get our sister tattoos done. I am of course obsessed with my new artwork. We then headed off for dinner which was so good before decided to just head home which quickly turned into playing beer pong with my mum, dad, K, and W. While we were getting our tattoos done, my mum took Baby bear to Jump Giants.

Thursday was defiantly the day I was looking forward to the most, surprising my childhood best friend while she was on holiday to see her and more importantly ask her to be my Maid of Honour. Of course, she said yes, and we had the best day with our besties at their caravan. I loved being able to tell her what happened to lead me to say yes to the dress and all our wedding plans but also just catching up on life and seeing each other after so long.

Friday before heading home we stopped in to see my grandparents and have lunch with them. It’s been forever since we have spent time with them. Then after over 5 hours in the car, we were finally home and reunited with Daddy bear.

We booked to go to a soft play with L and V Saturday so we headed there with mum while Daddy bear did more around the house to finish jobs ready for our social worker to come to do our home visit and then Baby bears birthday. We then had our family friends come over for dinner and a catch up which was so good to see them.

Sadly, mum had to go home today so before she left we headed over to the beach for breakfast and a quick play. Once mum had gone I pottered around the house a little before doing our weekly food shop and getting ready to get back to normality tomorrow with school and work.

I hope you all had a good week and are ready to get back into the swing of things tomorrow x
