Hey lovelies, welcome back to my weekly check-in. I hope you have all had a good and productive week. Firstly, I would like to wish all you mummas out there a Happy Mother’s day, no matter if your a mumma to a live child, angel mumma, expecting, adoptive. Whatever makes you a mumma, I hope you have had a good day. Sorry, there was no Wednesday blog this week, I have felt really run down, exhausted and well just drained most of the week. I couldn’t figure out what was going on but I have figured it out now, my bestie period has arrived. I have no idea why I didn’t think of it before it arrived, to be honest, but who knows…
Anyway other than that fun detail of my week we have had a somewhat good week. It was our little people’s first week back at school and it went better than I expected to be fair. The last few days before they went back to school, even though Baby bear was so excited he kept asking me if I was sure he could go and see his friends this time as I had said that last time (January), and Boris said he couldn’t. This broke my heart and if I’m being honest I had no idea how it had affected him before this point. I was a little worried about how he would do come Monday but he was a trooper. I was unable to take him to school Monday as I was working early but Daddy bear said Baby bear was alittle hesitant but as soon as his teacher let him in he was completely fine.
I remember saying when Baby bear started school back in September we were having some behaviours that weren’t wanted mainly from being tired. Well we are dealing with that fun stuff again, I know it is tiredness mainly and I think this is his way of coping and adjusting if you will. We also have a lot going on at the moment and I’m at the point of thinking if I’m struggling mentally and lash out with my emotions at times so why would it be different for him just because of his a little person.
This being Baby bear has had a good week. He has been doing fantastic with his work and I’m so proud of his achievements this week. He has now been moved up a reading group and now has books with words in them. So Friday Baby bear actually read me our first story. We read often but he usually makes up a story to match the pictures or from memory but this was the actual story. I’d be lying if this didn’t melt my heart and bring a tear to my eye.
Not much has happened this week, to be honest, other than going back to school, work being busy with all our little people coming back (which has been amazing to see them all I’ve missed them for sure) and Daddy bear has changed his shift pattern and gone back to being on call. Even though a lot has changed this week we have adjusted amazingly. We are smashing it at the moment.
As I have already said my period has arrived this weekend, so yesterday I spent the day on the sofa with my heat mat, my boys and films. Daddy bear also did some more work outside removing slabs and moving them from the drive ready for Baby Bear’s birthday present to arrive next week (yes it’s early but it was a good price and well why not…)
Then today which is Mother’s day… to start the day off I got an amazing layin which was so needed. To then get woke up to flowers and cards (Baby bear made one and the boys brought one). The boys then made me some yummy avocado and poached egg on toast followed by homemade pancakes. It was an amazing start to my Mother’s day we then spoke to our mumma’s before heading downstairs to cuddle back up on the sofa with my heat mat to watch films. Of course because of it being Mother’s day I got to pick the films which never happens haha. I then got cooked an amazing Lamb roast.
I hope you have all had a good week, and all the mummas have had a good day whatever that may have looked like. Here’s to another busy but hopefully, good week and I will see you all again Wednesday x
