Hey Lovelies, welcome back to my weekly check-in, hope you all had a good week. My baby is 5… How? If you follow me on social media you would know Baby bear turned 5 Thursday. I still don’t understand how though!… So apart from his birthday, we had another busy week. I love seeing everyone and being busy but at the same time, I would quite like a quiet weekend to relax. Anyway here’s our week went…
So Monday was like any other day really other than I started my driving lessons again. I have my test booked for next month after being rebooked 3 times now so I have finally started seeing my driving instructor again to make sure I am ready for it. I am insured on Daddy Bear’s car so I have been driving with him next to me for a while now but obviously have picked up some ‘bad’ habits that I need to iron out before my test. It went really well and we booked in all my lessons up to my test date so exciting times. We then had to do shopping so I and Daddy bear took the opportunity to have a mini date night which was lovely but meant we didn’t go to bed till late as we was watching a movie.
Tuesday again was a normal day with work and school. However, in the evening my aunt and uncle popped over to see Baby bear for his birthday and give him his card and present. I know we are doing a good job on nights like that when he is so excited and grateful to receive a new space rug to go in his toy corner. So that was a slightly late night but it also gave me time to sort out my friend’s hen do with my aunt while she was here so all in all it was a good night.
Wednesday, I had a staff meeting so wasn’t home till nearly 6.30 pm which meant I didn’t really get to see Baby bear before bed which always sucks. I then spent my night making sure everything was ready for our birthday boy in the morning. Another late night (can you see the pattern)…
Then Thursday was Baby bears birthday. My baby turned 5. He had school and I had worked but we celebrated a little before school just me and him as Daddy bear had to be onsite early. Which was lovely we spoke to my parents while he opened his cards and gifts from my side of the family. He then went into school all excited for his birthday. We had asked him last week what he wanted for his birthday dinner and he had said dessert so we planned to head into Lincoln to a place called Kaspas (I would recommend going it was so yummy and reasonably priced which was a bonus). We then had L for a sleepover so we took a trip to the park before bed to help run off some of their energy and sugar from dinner. Another late night and at this point, I am knackered…
I booked the day off Friday knowing I would have a lot to do to get ready for Baby bears birthday party Saturday and boy was I right. I spent the day catching up on housework as I had let it slip a little after being so busy, baking and just generally getting ready to have guests and his party. But it was so worth it to see his little face light up Saturday and how much fun he had with all his friends.
Then it was party time Saturday. My baby is 5 (I know I keep saying it but I can’t believe how fast it is going). He had such a good time and all his friends seemed to have fun which is all the matters. He saw friends he hasn’t seen in a while as well as his good friends from school. It was defiantly a good day and well worth all the stress of preparing it. Our friends even traveled up from Essex to help us celebrate which made it even more special for us all really. They then stayed the night so we got to spend some quality time with them as we don’t get to see them as much as we want and miss them loads.
So we are at today, we took a trip over to Diggerland at Springfields again as we love it there and it is good for all the children. Before we went we had a bit of a chilled morning, the children played and we just spent time together. We then had fun at Diggerland as much as the weather could have been better we had good company which made it 100x better. Daddy bear even asked another one of his groomsmen so it was very exciting. Before heading home we stopped into a toy shop with a big lego section for Baby bear to spend his birthday money (not that he ended up with any lego as he found remote control cars for him and Daddy bear) so we stopped in there. Then since we have been home I won’t lie I haven’t done much. This post is later then normal as Daddy bear decided to pull one of our cupboards out to see about fitting something to the boiler to help with the shower pressure so I was helping him.
We hopefully had bit more of a relaxed week ahead of us before seeing my parents the weekend and my friends Hen Do. I hope you all had a lovely week and I will see you Wednesday x
